Bonds of Blood &Honor

Day 81 - End of an Era

Fiona, Lewyn & Alix Maple set out to infiltrate the cave which Fiona is suspiciously knowledgeable about. Lewyn’s army has orders to march north to Edgeguard and meet him there.

Upon entering the basement of Edgeguard, they run into Flynn Blackpeddle, who curiously agrees to aid them, though loyal to Roose Bolton and Jolvan Teamus. He takes several vials of blood dust, and vows to poison the army drinks with it. Lewyn, assuming that even if Flynn doesn’t do it, there’s nothing to be lost at this point. He was gravely mistaken.

Flynn does indeed poison the barrels, and locks himself into his room, knowing what would follow.

The army advances with Lewyn and Eric, and holds outside of arrow range of the castle. Meanwhile, they notice clouds of smoke and chaos on the parapets. They stand dumbfounded, as the action dies down and several men seem to be fleeing on swift horses northwest of the castle.

Meanwhile, Alix & Fiona re-enter through the tunnel, and meet up with Flynn, and they slowly make their way through the castle, viewing the death and carnage surrounding them. Alix and Fiona raise the winch to the main gate, then join Flynn inside the lord’s tower.

Eric leads the army inside and puts any dying members out of their misery, with no though of saving them. Lewyn remains outside with his army, surrounding the castle.

Inside, the things they find our out of a horror film. Jolvan and Lisa have been flayed, and Eilene has been abused to no end. There is no sign of Mason, his mother, or his uncle. There is Eckhard Stone, however, who unsurprisingly survived the carnage, but still affected by the ingested blood dust. He rushes at Alix Maple in a mad rage, but is brought down by Alix, Fiona, and Flynn.

Discouraged, disturbed, and in disarray, the house attempts to put the pieces of itself back together, while Eddard of House Stark rides south to King’s Landing…

Day 78

The party separates. The fellowship is broken.

Lewyn inquires about his galleys.

Alix Maple hires a female companion.

Fiona starts a barroom brawl, which burns down an eating establishment, then hides out in the forest.

Jerick walks in secret paths, then ends up in Breakeven in secret.

Mason tends to his father, Wyatt, Eilene, and a visitor in the night.

Day 77 - Return to Edgeguard

The party gets Maester Hershey to make sure Wyatt is fit enough to travel, then picks up Neil Rivers at Winterfell. Traveling by barge to White Harbor, they then take a boat to Breakeven. During the journey, there has been several hushed whispers and conversations between Jerick & Fiona, Alix & Lewyn, and Mason & Eileen.

Upon reaching Breakeven, they see 4 war galleys in port. They also see many strange, rough looking men, who do not seem very Northern. Upon arriving in Edgeguard, Wyatt is recognized as a member of the Teamus family, and a son of Jolvan. Mason and Eileen are working with Alix to protect Wyatt, who may be in grave danger. Jerick unexpectedly announced his marriage to Fiona. Alix learns what remains of the life he left in Braavos. Lewyn has ‘inherited’ a small army. Mason faces the reality that he might not be the heir of Edgeguard.

Day 70 - The Search for Wyatt

The party begins to explore Ameth, and find a man freshly hanging from a tree near the center square. They also are able to track down Wyatt’s grandparents, but they, as well as everyone else in the town, are very protective of Wyatt Snow, and it is difficult to get the whole story. Apparently, the hanging man was someone who was looking to rob Wyatt, and was dealt mob justice. They find out from Snow’s grandparents that he has left the town to pursue a career at the wall.

They were told wrong.

They track the paranoid Snow to a ruined guard tower outside of town. He is eventually talked down and convinced to be put into the protection of House Teamus. As they march back to town, there is a scene outside the grain mill. Snow’s grandparents are held at knife point along with Old Jak. The leader demands that Fiona tie up Snow, blindfold him, and send him over, or the grandparents die. After the party hesitates, the grandfather is killed, and Snow demands he be tied, and asks someone else to do it. Jak is thrown to the ground, and the old woman and Snow are escorted south out of town.

The party regroups, while Jerick stays behind, then follows on horseback, with Fiona tracking. They find the old woman’s corpse, her throat also slit open like her husband’s and left on the side of the path. They track down where the group left off into the forest, and they leave their horses to mount an attack. In the fracas, Wyatt is stabbed in the back, and in order to save his life, Alix Maple smacks the horse Wyatt is tussed up on with the flat of his blade. The horse then takes off into the forest at high speed. The party is able to overcome the kidnappers, finds Snow, and takes the horses left by the kidnappers. As they come back to the path where they left their horses, they find their horses are missing, and now must decide what to do next…

Day 69 - Arrival in Ameth
A blog for your campaign

The party, directed by Lady Meralyn Teamus, go to fulfill Mason’s dying father’s request to bring one Wyatt Snow back to Edgeguard. The party advanced south to Winterfell, and came upon Eddard Stark, leaving with several of his family and guards, heading north to administer justice. They then stayed a night at Winterfell, and headed west into the Wolfswood. They encountered inclement weather, and deep inside the wood, they were ambushed. They killed their attackers.

They came to a raging river, where they were noticed by a woodsman, who dropped his wood upon seeing them and fled into the woods. They forded the stream and soon found the town of Ameth.

The people of Ameth were kind enough, as they party rolled into the common house, owned by Old Jak, who offered them lodging and food. Nobody seemed to know a Wyatt Snow, but rumormongers had some tales to tell once they had their ale. The party’s horses were attended by a stable boy, who was cornered by Jerick, and told that Wyatt Snow left some time ago to head to the wall.
